“A hidden gem”

Located on Riverside very near a nice little community called Avondale. It has a childrens museum and a variety of art to please many. Their gardens are also beautiful with some big trees.

“Good local museum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2014

This is a great museum with a variety of different mediums and styles. They also have a beautiful garden that is eloquently done and the staff are more than happy to help you answer any question that you may have. I have only visited once, but I certainly intend to come back to see it again!

“Gorgeous Museum & Outdoor Garden!”

I had the pleasure of taking my Mother to the Cummer while she was is Jacksonville on holiday. The exhibits are spectacular. We were both very impressed by the photographic exhibit celebrating the Civil Rights movement.

“Best Free Place to Go In Jacksonville (On Tuesday Nights)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

I always plan a trip to The Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens when I am in jacksonville, ESPECIALLY when there is free admission on a Tuesday night. The galleries change often; the gardens are quiet, restful, beautiful; the staff is helpful and friendly; and, what's better than having access to art?

A new parking area (free) can be found across the street. The gardens have been enlarged. The view of the river is exceptional.

The Cummer can't be beat!
