“Worth the drive from the beaches”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

Been several times, more so recently as the mix of vendors appears to keep improving, lots of fresh, local offerings - enough that we skip the setup at the beach and drive into town to make the visit. How about setting up an ancillary location under the Intracoastal Bridge on Beach Blvd? It's a wasteland just like under Interstate 95 was - would be extremely popular here on the weekends too.

“Great time even on a hot summer day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012 via mobile

The Riverside Arts Market is a great way to experience some of the local culture of Jacksonville. There a lots of arts and craft vendors as well as a whole row dedicated as a local farmers market. Closer to the river you will food vendors serving just about every type of cuisine you could want. My favorite is the Phillipino stand serving lumpia. I recommend sitting next to the river and listening to the local musicians playing on the stage while you eat. The arts market is located under an interstate overpass so the entire area is shaded, plus the breeze off the river helps keep things cool. It's a great place to head to mid-day on a Saturday, even in August!

“Fun for a few minutes, possibly longer for big shoppers”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2012

I went here after a race, early on a Saturday morning. The market is fairly big and shade covered from the bridge above -- an excellent location with nice views. There are food vendors (mostly everything is fried or terrible for you) and some interesting stands. But if you're not into art (and spending a good amount of money), there is not much to do other than just walk around, briefly looking at different objects and being surprised at how much money things are. There is a small section dedicated as a mini farmer's market as well. The parking was easy and close by, even with the race going on.

“I love art market”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2012

Love it! I'll be there on the 7th with my dog Raven. They had a story on NBC news on after dark art markets. I hope you will consider this in the future. They are getting quite popular across the country. Orlando has it. I'll check it out. I hope you do. See you Saturday.

“Wonderful place - different every week”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2012

RAM is one of the best things about living in Jacksonville. It's completely free and a great way to spend a Saturday morning. The live music and street performers are great and I love seeing the local art (and splurging on it on occassion). The food is good, but the ready made can be quite pricey. The fruit and vegetables are almost always fresh and they offer samples as well. Some of the booths have become staples, but often the local artists change and the music is different every week. Also, I must say that the bathrooms are wonderful considering they are under a bridge in downtown - permanent facilities similar to a rest stop off a highway. =) I've been at RAM in the heat, wind, and rain and the market is always wonderful. Even in the pouring rain, the bridge cover keeps everything dry. This is definitely one of Jacksonville's gems.
