The owners are very gracious and Kingsley, the dog welcomes everyone. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Flexible times for breakfast were offered. The food was excellent. The room was comfortably furnished with the bath in the room. Coffee and tea were available in the room. You will enjoy your visit.

A true B&B...with owners who actually reside on the premises and actually use the house as their home. Guests are made to feel welcome. Rooms are depicted accurately in photos. We were in the Governor's. Joan was very helpful with dining suggestions...although our Thanksgiving meal at the Chart House was not very good. Breakfasts were good with a flair to the presentation. If traveling to Jacksonville, this would be a good choice. We were a bit concerned about the neighborhood when approaching the address, but the Avondale section really is quite lovely, with many places to walk/bike ride along the St. John river. We had wanted to stay in St. Augustine but the rates were so high, especially for the weekend part of Thanksgiving. This was a good alternative...about a 40 min. ride. Joan's recomendation for dinner in St. Augustine was top notch! La Pentola...wonderful!

Terrific option when visiting Jax. The hosts were accomodating and open but not obtrusive. The home is incredibly lovely--like staying in a well-furnished, historic period home. The room and bath was better than any hotel room. But the highlight has to be breakfast in the sun room--superb. We had a great and relaxing time. Highly recommend.

The downstairs is spacious. Breakfast was served in the charming sunroom and was fresh and delicious. The room was large and comfortable with nicely furnished bathroom and good plumbing. The hosts were very friendly. Good restauants are available locally. We would like to return.
