Our family stayed only one night here on our way to Tampa. We checked in late and the gentleman at the front desk was wonderful. He offered us cookies upon check-in and naturally we obliged. :). Our room looked recently renovated. We had a suite. We used points so the room was free. I will say that everything was clean and in working order. Ice was close by and the room had everything. (Micro., fridge, coffee maker, etc). Because it was a suite we had two seperate rooms, so we had two tv's, desk, sofa, chair, and coffee table. The bed side of the room seemed narrow but for one night i was okay and did not worry about being clausterphobic. Breakfast the next morning was ok. Typical CI&S's fare. Fruit, yogurt, cereal, eggs, ham, bagels, toast, waffles, etc. The women who ran it was right on top of things. The only thing looking worn out was the carpeting in the hallways and the elevator. They should just tile the elevator. Save them lots of wear and tear. Overall I would stay again for a night or two. We were located on highway side but we were so tired from being up early and then driving after work we fell asleep right away.

Front desk super friendly. Great atmosphere. Overall great value for price. Location very convenient.Enjoyed sitting out at poolside even though it was too cool to get in. I brought some newlyweds with me and the just loved the hotel. They had a blast!

To have such a nice looking hotel, you have the cheapest housekeeping staff. I checked into the room I was given and it was NASTY! Both beds were unmade, dirty coffee cups on the desk and trash still in the trash bins. The room was NOT cleaned after whomever had stayed there checked out. I was switched to a clean room about 30 minutes later. One day 2 of my stay, I returned to my room after being out all day, my dirty towels had been taken out but NO clean towels were left in their place. I go down to the front desk, ask for towels to be told I have no clean towels, but I can give you two pool towels. What kind of hotel has NO clean towels??? When my travels bring me back to Jacksonville, I will find a different hotel to stay in.

I arrived late to the Country Inn and Suites on my way to Jekyll Island. We checked in quickly and the front desk clerk was very nice. There were cookies and samples of new products on the check-in desk.I cannot understand why this place gets bad reviews. The lobby was neat and the maintenance guy was replacing the microwave in the breakfast area. The carpets were a little faded, but it is only from wet swimmers walking through the lobby. My room was very nice and it appeared that it had been recently updated. We had a nice selection to chose from at breakfast and my kids enjoyed ready to make waffles.They are 20 min. from the airport, 25 min. from the port , 1.5 hours from Jekyll and located in a quiet business area. I would definitely stay again!!!!
