I must say, it is an OKAY b and b. It is located on a swamp in upstate ny...it must be new, because the problems you have while staying there lead you to believe it. Our room was not private, even with the private bath. There is about and inch opening from the bottom of the door to the floor, so forget it! Everybody in the place can hear your business. So forget coming for the romance! Please!
Our water ran out in the shower...meaning, no water with soap in the eyes, the whole bit. All we got was a "this happens all the time, sorry!" and no recourse. We were told the city line to the house sucks. I was expecting a refund or complimentary something, but no go. The price was steep and I felt these issues could have been resolved, as we were there for 3 nights.
The breakfast is meat free...cooked by 18 year old 'chefs' from the culinary institute. Cardboard muffins! Miniscule souffle! Organic juice! Yuck. For the money, give me a piece of meat, please.
Then, the place she suggested for dinner (which is where I'm assuming the last reviewer went) was full of...guess who?...everyone else who heard me snore all night! The place was overpriced, not very good, run by a local 'chef' and located IN A STRIP MALL!!!!!! No thanks. But remember, bring a suitcase of cash. No meal there costs under $18.
So, in short, if you think I should stay at a Travelodge, you'll love it. If you think that you should get something more for your money and enjoy a well taken care of and run inn, look elsewhere.
