“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2014 via mobile

Wonderful lunch at Boscue! The meals we had were beautifully prepared and served. Some favs- pate, scallops, monkfish stew and goat cheese cheesecake! Our waiter was helpful and attentive. The grounds were beautiful, despite the snow! Will definitely return.

“Bistro Boot Camp”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2014

Just completed 4-day Bistro Boot Camp that was offered as a continuing education program. A great experience for the food enthusiast. They offer 1-5 day courses and I will definitely be back for more. The instructor, a master chef, and the opportunity to learn in a professional kitchen were fantastic!

“A symphony for foodies!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2014

This is a wonderful place to visit and enjoy the art of food presentation and taste. Every dish is served by students-in-training (SIT), prepared by other SITs as supervised by the trained and experienced faculty. All dishes are presented nicely as plated and very tasty. I have eaten at two of these restaurants, the latest being the Bocuse, named after the famous French chef from Lyon. Paul is not at this restaurant of course, but his touches are visible in the menu and presentations. From the start to the finish, every dish was quite good. I am not able to discuss each dish, because the menu may well change by the time you eat there. However, if you at all like ice cream, please do not miss this special desert treat, made at your table side. Another family member recently ate there and raved about their hot toddy! Never hesitate to ask questions about your meal , drinks, or wines, as everyone is there (and there are many working in the restaurant) to help you and offer suggestions as requested. You do not tip in any of these restaurants. I am looking forward to next visiting the Italian restaurant for dinner. I have always been there too late to peruse the Apple Pie bakery, but the goods looked great as I stared through the large plate glass windows. There is a very nice foodies' gift shop in the front of the building. The grounds/gardens are quite nice in the spring and summer if you care to stroll around. Parking is free in a large covered garage on site and close to the restaurants.

“Great Dinner at Bocuse”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2013

During a visit to the Hudson Valley, we decided to celebrate my recent retirement with dinner at The Culinary Institute of America's Bocuse Restaurant. It was great! Due to their high level of professionalism, you have no sense at all that the staff are students. The food and service were top rate, as was the extensive wine list. We enjoyed a wonderful three course dinner, starting with glasses of prosecco, and including a bottle of wine, for a very affordable price. If you are in the area, I would strongly recommend checking out Bocuse.

The only thing to be aware of is that if you are not familiar with the campus, it is not immediately obvious how to get to the restaurants, but, in the grand scheme of things, that is inconsequential.

“A Slice of Heaven on the Hudson”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2013

This beautiful college on a bluff overlooking the Hudson River was breathtaking! The grounds were planted with fruit trees, and vegetables. The building was a huge stone structure with had many of the original features from its former life as a Jesuit Seminary. There was a gift store that included many cookbooks as well as kitchen items, several restaurants, and a tour of the building. Can't wait to go back!
