We "collect" Presidential Libraries and Museums, having seen the Clinton, Carter, Hoover, Eisenhower, and Truman with plans to see those in TX before the end of 2013. We see them because we enjoy learning, and these national treasures provide lots of that, especially the Roosevelt. It is dense with information. If visitors read every word, they will learn much about the Great Depression, the wretched state of poor men and women in the 1920s and 1930s, wars, divergent political ideologies, government stimuli, collegial governance, news reporting, biography and more. Rich in images, audio, artifacts, short films, and signs, the Roosevelt Library and Museum is a short course in our collective past. If you are in the area or even if you're not, make plans to include this historical site in your travel plans. You won't regret it.
