“great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2005

This was a reasonable 2 star motel. It was very clean with an older, but clean outdoor pool. Our room had its own parking space. It had 2 doors, one exiting to the parking lot, the other faced the pool. The continental breakfast was the usual bagels, toast and cereal, but for the price of the room with AAA discount was under $90 a night. Best of all, it was located across the street from the National Park. We could walk to most attractions. I would recommend this motel to anyone looking for a reasonable place to stay for a couple of days.

We stayed at the Best Inn July 25-July 28 and we were very happy with the experience.

The rooms were clean and neat and the AM brerakfast was adequate. The pool area was very nice and came in handy as it was very hot the 3 days we were in Gettysburg.

The staff was very nice too. I left a note for housekeeping for extra pillows and they were in the room when we came back from site-seeing!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who likes a great location and good service. Oh yeah, it's reasonable price wise too!

I did a lot of research on hotels in Gettysburg prior to reserving a room and this hotel came up postive too many times to deny. Having stayed there, I agree with the majority: this place was great! Located on the southern edge of town, it is well within walking distance of all major attractions, shops, and restaurants (highly recommend the Gingerbread Man tavern and O'Rourkes across the street!). Noise from traffic was never a problem in the slightest, even with biker rally traffic. The pool was clean and enjoyable, continental breakfast had long hours and decent food, and the staff was great. Our first room smelled slightly like smoke and they switched us without hassle into an Evergreen room free of charge. The Evergreen room was an allergen free room with filtered water and was very impressive. Onsite parking was safe and the property was well maintained. Will return.

We've been staying at this property ever since it was a Howard Johnsons, and it's even nicer now. The rooms are clean and well maintained, as is the pool. The CB is good, and the coffee is always freshly brewed. The location can't be beat. We will never stay anywhere else!

We found this motel to be a great value. It is basic but clean and more than adequate. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is also great!

My husband and I stayed at The Best Inn for 5 nights the middle of November, 2004. Although the hotel is older, it is very well maintained. Our room was clean and the service was good. We would return to the Best Inn.
Previously, we have stayed at the Best Western Gettysburg Hotel. It is very nice. However, this trip was an economical one, and we were very happy.
