“Bike Week 2013”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013

Another EXCELLENT stay! This is our second year in a row (same room too!) and can't say enough great things about how wonderful everything was. The room was spotless as it was last year. Noticed a new television and bedding which was very nice. This is the perfect place to stay in Gettysburg - close enough to walk to just about anywhere you want to go. Have already placed our name on the list for reservations for Bike Week 2014 - and plan on bringing some friends! Also joined the Loyalty Program - might as well as we plan to make this our "Gettysburg Address" anytime that we stay in the Gettysburg area. Thanks again for being so hospitable to the bikers!

Room Tip: If you like to people-watch, stay in the rooms on the front side of the hotel. You might hear a lit...

Thank you for the wonderful review! We certainly are glad that you had a good time and plan on coming back next year! Yes the bikes can be a bit loud but the folks are so nice and we enjoy having them with us! Everyone is so friendly and polite to our staff and that makes our job easier! We hope that you will tell all of your friends about your stay and bring them back with you next year! We look forward to seeing you then! Stay safe on that bike! Thank you again for the review!

I stayed for the 150th Anniversary festivities and this was the perfect location for touring the battlefields and specialty shops. The rooms are clean (all non-smoking) and the staff is friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast got the day off on the right foot. The pool was great for cooling off after a hot day of hiking the battlefields! I will definitely stay here again and would recommend it to everyone who plans on visiting Gettysburg!

You can't beat this location in Gettysburg. It is right next to the Jennie Wade House and Culp Hill. The rooms are not lavish but clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast had a wide selection of items but everything was pre-made and then microwaved. I would stay again .

We are glad to hear that you found your room to be clean and comfortable. Each room is nicely appointed with all the extra goodies that you would find at the franchise hotels. You're right-the location of the hotel can't be beat. Parking can be an issue. It's so nice to park the car and walk to the attractions. We hope you will visit us again. Thank you for the review. Have a wonderful Summer!

We stayed in the Annex Bldg and felt that it was clean and quiet. The location of hotel is close
enough to all attractions and to the Visitor's Center for the tours. The staff was knowledgeable
and friendly. We would definitely stay there again when we return to Gettysburg. Visited 6/2013.

Room Tip: Annex building is located in rear of hotel and quiet and is also near the pool. Loved it!

This is an average hotel, but the rooms were clean. We had the two rooms on the street side at the end, so it was quiet except for the traffic noise. It was fun watching and listening to the street musicians playing and dancing across the street from our doorways. The elevators were very slow and it was a bit confusing pressing "2" as it was also labeled for parking. Upon entering our rooms, there was a voice message on the phone welcoming us. Breakfast was disappointing because there were no eggs or bacon, etc. It was all breads and cereals. If you are there for the sights in town, this is the best hotel for the money. It is walking distance to Farnsworh and Dobbs House. It's right next door to Jennie Wade house.

Room Tip: The noise from the traffic wasn't too bad with the air conditioner on. The pool was crowded wit...

I really enjoyed my recent stay at the 1863 Inn of Gettysburg. The location is perfect, walking distance to town square in one direction and the National and Evergreen Cemeteries in the other direction. The room was clean. The bathroom area was large. The beds were comfortable. I loved being located next door to the Jennie Wade House, so much history in this area. The complimentary breakfast each day was a definite bonus. We would eat breakfast and not require anything else till dinner in the evenings. I would stay in the 1863 Inn of Gettysburg again in the future.
