Our visit to the Brickhouse Inn was a truly wonderful experience! Our innkeepers, Tess and Brian, immediately made us feel right at home; they are an amazing font of information, not only on Gettysburg, but also international travel and culture. We could have chatted for hours over a glass of wine on the back patio. There, we were surrounded by the loveliest gardens and a babbling waterfall pool, which gently cascaded down the yard. Our Alabama room in the Welty House was so comfortable and immaculate, and beautifully decorated with period antiques; we slept so well, it amazed even me! And we awoke to the most glorious breakfasts!
The inn was in a perfect location to walk in both directions – to the battlefields and to the square, to the bookstore and interesting little shops across the street and most of the restaurants in the area. Our Battlefield tour with John Weixel was so animated and informative and just a marvelous experience. We also enjoyed the Ghost tour with Miss Betty and came out of it with many “orbs” in our photographs – spooky! We even splurged with a Massage by Ruth – such pampering! It was also so nice to chat with the other guests; they were such a wonderful and interesting group.
We were sad to have to leave, but the quote, “Today we make tomorrow’s memories….” is certainly appropriate. The Brickhouse Inn will always be a part of our special memories and we plan to return one day for more adventures and relaxation – and good company!

We have stayed at the Brickhouse Inn twice and both times have felt so relaxed and spoiled. The Inn keepers Tessa and Brian and so nice and welcoming. The Inn is beautiful along with all of it's gardens and surroundings. The food is wonderful and presented so nicely. I love the rooms with the balconies and sitting out on this or the porch on each building to watch the nightlife and just RELAX. This is a Must Stay place when you visit Gettysburg! We will be back again.

We found the information regarding this inn on the Gettysburg website and knew immediately that we wanted to stay at the Brickhouse inn. We contacted the inn to make the reservations and spoke to Melanie, who told us the rooms we requested were available for all but the first night of our stay. She said the Welty House next door to the Brickhouse inn had rooms available for the first night so she would book us into those rooms and they would move us over to the inn the next day.

When we arrived at the inn we were pleased to see that the rooms were as advertised. We spent our first night in the Illinois room at the Welty House. Our friends who traveled with us spent their first night in the Georgia room. All of us were thrilled to see the beautiful room. After a great breakfast the next morning we went to church and when we returned all of our belongings had been moved to our rooms in the Brickhouse inn. We were in the Maryland room and our friends were in the Tennessee room. These rooms were also beautiful.

Brian,Tessa and their staff were extremely gracious and helpful throughout our stay. Each morning we were served a delicious breakfast in a manner that made us feel very pampered. Brian and Tessa were always available to offer suggestions on sites to see and helped us make arrangements for a special tour to Washington D.C. This was without a doubt our best vacation to date. We will be back.

This was our first time at a bed and breakfast and it definitely exceeded our expectations. The location was by far the best in town, walking distance to everything! The service and rooms were very pleasant, and the entire place was immaculate! Breakfast was out of this world, and the staff was very helpful in helping us to plan our activities.
