“Governor Casey Suite-handicap accessible room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

The room was fabulous! So spacicious, large bed, wonderful fireplace with a couch to lounge on in front of it. There were plenty of outlets for electronics. The room set-up was very inviting: a table area, a lounging area, and a writing area. I loved having windows to look out of, and have sunlight (when it was out) come in. The bathroom was cleaned and restocked daily.
I did find the room clean, but during my stay, the clean-up was uneven, though not bad. The ice bucket wasn't emptied, although a new plastic liner was put next to the ice bucket. the pillows were not put back on the chair or couch-again, not a big deal, but a note.
I also would have liked to see a microwave and refrigerator in the room.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, and would come back myself too.
Also, our conference asked for "Grab and Go" breakfast and lunch, and the staff did a great job with this, and the food was hot and replenished frequently. When accommodations were needed, they did a great job with that.

Room Tip: The room on the 4th floor, in the corner, was a quiet room for hotel noises, rather secluded, but cl...

I stayed at the Gettysburg Hotel for a work related function. The room was adequate and the staff were friendly and helpful. For the most part it was Ok. My only complaint was dirty water glasses in the bathroom - toothpaste in the bottom of the glasses. It would have taken the cleaning staff only one more step to do it right.
Otherwise, the hotel was fine. I would most likely say there again.

Room Tip: My room was in the back of the hotel. There is a very loud train that passes by at 10:00pm. You may...

Really nice and spacious room with plenty to do nearby. No gripes about parking, it is what it is and not too inconvenient. Acoustics a slight problem with parties ongoing and people traffic out back- but nothing that couldn't be overcome by people exercising some restraint. Good check out time, plenty of food nearby, and close enough to the battlefield to get to what you need to get to. Will certainly be returning to jump in those comfy beds and get some peaceful time away.

Room Tip: Rooms above the back entrance may have an issue with noise with the smoking area below (no, I am not...

Very easy and comfortable stay. Staff are personable and knowledgeable . . . willing to assist, offer recommendations, and make your stay memorable. Upon making an online reservation, I made a note we were celebrating my mom's 75th anniversary and when we checked into our room, the Front Desk Supervisor, Kari G., has sent up a handwritten note and a plate of chocolate dipped strawberries. My mom was moved to tears at the gesture. The hotel has banquet facilities so this would be a great place to book a special occasion. Guests park in the public garage behind the hotel and pay by the hour or maximum of $10 for 24 hours. We arrived early evening on a Friday, walked around town, had a few drinks and dinner at Cafe Saint Amand. Next day, we visited some of the shops, had lunch in town at Dobbin House Tavern, and then did a self-guided tour to the Soldiers National Cemetery and Evergreen Cemetery. So much more to see and learn. Will definitely book a room at the Gettysburg Hotel again.

Room Tip: Muffled conversation could be heard from groups standing below the rooms overlooking the square (rou...

We took advantage of the Romantic Escape offered by the Gettysburg Hotel. The entire experience was all we expected. Check-in was quick and our room was huge. We actually enjoyed our room that faced the busy circle in front of the hotel. Our room featured a comfortable king sized bed, jacuzzi tub, fireplace and full sized couch facing a large TV. Our overnighter package included a movie at the nearby Majestic Theater, dinner, a bottle of champagne, chocolates and breakfast in the morning. The next day we explored all the shops in the center of town to cap off our romantic escape.

Room Tip: If you like a real quiet night request a room away from the front of the hotel.

We selected this hotel because it is in walking distance to all the restaurants, pubs and shops. Park the car and let you feet do the walking. Our room had a fireplace which made the stay perfect for a weekend get-away. The room was very nice and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms with Fireplaces are very large and nice!

Stayed 2 nites. Room had 2 double beds in a realatively small room. Was alone so not a problem, but if had 3 or 4 people it would have been a little small. Room and bathroom were clean. Hotel is old but very well maintained, everything modern.

Room Tip: ask room size if traveling with family.
