We stayed at the Gettysburg Hotel while visiting family over the holidays and found it to be the perfect place to stay in town. Our room was clean and comfortable with views of the city. Your staff was most accommodating and truly concerned about our every need. We enjoyed breakfast in One Lincoln several times and the food was delicious. Thank you for our home away from home over the holidays!

My wife and I had spent the weekend in Gettysburg, and wanted to stay someplace other then a chain hotel that also had some history. The Gettysburg was the perfect place.
The Hotel itself is beautiful and very clean. The rooms are spacious and well appointed.
The parking is terrible, in that you have to use a municipal pay for parking lot behind the hotel. I understand this, being that the entire vicinity is played out the same as it has been for the last 150 years. But the hotel probably should reach a deal with the city for their customers, if only to add the parking charge to the bill.
There is a restaurant attached, One Lincoln. It is a very good restaurant/grill, but does not service the hotel although it is attached. So there is no room service. There is also no kiosk or hotel store for forgotten items.
Since there are a vast number of restaurants and stores within the 4 block radius, it really mitigates that greatly. All in all, it is a great stay in a beautiful, historic hotel and area.

Room Tip: It is an older hotel, although the upper floors are new additions. I like these since the suite has...

Thank you for staying with us at the Gettysburg Hotel and providing us comments on your visit. I am excited to hear you had a "Wonderful Stay" as we strive to exceed our guests expectations.

I know the parking situation can be frustrating. We do meet with the Parking Authority periodically in an effort to share guest feed back and investigate possible changes to the current system.

My team and I look forward to welcoming you back on your return visit to Gettysburg.

We got the king suite. With a jacuzzi tub and fireplace, the room had the features I was looking for. The room was clean when we arrived, the bed was comfortable, and overall the room felt worth the money. Moreover, while paying to park can be a hassle, it was really cheap for an entire day, and the hotel's location makes it a great place to explore Gettysburg.

We loved just about everything in this hotel! The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We ate at the restaurant inside the hotel and were very impressed with our meal as well as the service! Our only complaints, (and they were minimal), were the parking garage, (a little creepy) and the fact hat the lounge was closed at 11pm. We had just come back to the hotel and thought a nightcap sounded like a perfect way to end the evening, but it was closed. We thought it was a bit early to close a hotel lounge, but just wound up retiring a little earlier than we wanted to.All in all, we would definitely stay here again!

Thank you for choosing the Gettysburg Hotel on your recent visit to Gettysburg. We are excited you "loved" the hotel and also enjoyed dining in One Lincoln Food & Spirits. I know the parking situation can be frustrating but I assure you it is safe and patrolled by the municipality on a regular bases.

I apologize that the lounge closed earlier than anticipated and have discussed this with my management team. Our customary closing time is midnight and we often remain open later to accommodate guests when possible.

We look forward to seeing you on future visits to the area.

Chuck Moran

This hotel is historic and beautiful - and right in the town center. Walking distance to pretty much everything from attractions, vendors, shops, restaurants, etc.. Restaurant downstairs as well. Clean & renovated a number of years ago. Tastefully done for the area.

My experience was not dissimilar to other reviewers.

Positives:
- Well located
- Good sized, clean, modern rooms

Negatives:
- One of the most unfriendly hotel reception I have encountered.
- Air conditioning was the loudest I have ever heard (room 507). We turned it off, as was loud enough to wake us up.

Tip: We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant on the first morning, which wasn't terrible but was instantly forgettable in a sterile setting. The second morning we went out for a stroll and found the Lincoln Diner around the corner, which was much tastier and half the price.

Check-in parking is a problem. You need to park on street adjacent to a traffic circle. Very hard to back out into traffic. Even the long-term parking is a bit inconvenient. You need to park in a garage with a short walk to the hotel. If you leave, you start over with the initial higher cost applied. This is my only negative. The check-in was quick, the room was clean and everything worked properly. The hotel is very convenient to the downtown shops and attractions.
