Warning: Best Western Gettysburg recently bought the building next door and is renting out its rooms as if they are part of the hotel. They are absolutely disgusting. We entered the hotel and were sent down a walkway to the other building. The hallway is dirty, the vending machine room is filthy, the elevator is dirty, the room was dirty and cheap. The furniture was plastic, with scratches; there was dirt and hair on the bathroom floor. The window looked out on the back of a rusted theater sign (these rooms are on top of a theater which is being renovated). I complained to the front desk and was told they were full (surprise), and since it was late on a Saturday night my husband talked me into staying one night. Neither of us would use the shower in the morning (yech). If you are expecting to stay in a historic AAA-rated hotel, don't stay here. Actually if you expect decent housekeeping, don't stay here. In the interest of fairness, I have to report that the lady at the front desk when I checked out actually apologized for the room, so there was one decent person working there.
