“Very good, but pricey”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

Now I've been, I won't repeat. Museum is light on displays and the price with cupula is steep at $26 each in 2013. The view from the cupula is obstructed on most sides by trees utill after Fall. Had we known that, we would have skipped that part of the tour.

“Great place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013 via mobile

This was the only museum that dealt with the medical aspect of the war and explained how civilians were there for the battles and the aftermath...even the children pitched in to help the wounded and dying plus the surgeons. Great place!

“A fresh way to experience a Gettysburg icon.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

Unrivaled interpretation of the battle, slavery, the town, and the medical aspect, with the paramount reason for visiting, the cupola (not original, original burned) atop which John Buford viewed the opening salvos of the battle.

I did notice a few errors on the story boards, though I cannot remember what they were, so they are relatively insignificant. If you view the introductory film on the first floor on a busy day, you'll likely need to read the closed captioning for all of the noise and commotion going on behind you.

“Wonderful Museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

What a thrill to be able to go up in the cupola and see how John Buford was able to view the Confederates coming into town. The new three floor museum is well laid out and very informative. Don't miss out on the opportunity to go up in the cupola when visiting this museum - and make sure you put the Seminary Ridge Museum on your list of places to visit while in Gettysburg.

“Pretty Boring”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

It's obvious a lot of money and effort went into this new museum. We were told to start at the fourth floor and come down to the first but it seemed like we should have started on the first and gone up to the fourth. The first floor tells you about the building. Otherwise, we were wondering about the building all through the tour. It is self-guided with videos on each floor. Too many museums are becoming videos and panel exhibits. There was also only one other couple there touring while we were there; wasn't busy at all. Cupola tour is way too expensive. Good luck to them moving forward; Shriver house tour is a better bet for your money.
