“Great little place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

If you are looking for a hometown experience, this is the place! We like to experience non-chain restaurants and were not disappointed in this quaint, eclectic place. The proprietor was sitting at a table when we walked in and provided interesting conversation as well as recommendations from the menu. Loved the cheesesteak and the hand cut fries! I would definitely recommend a stop at Hunt's!

“Small and Charming spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

I was getting ready to go on an evening ghost tour last week and wanted to grab a quick bite to eat before this late night advenuture. I had heard of Hunt's but had never been there before, I have to tell you I had a great burger and fries. The service was awesome and at a great price. Highly recommend for a fast casual meal.

“great sandwiches - ridiculous atmosphere”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012

We tried Hunt's based on all the positive reviews on TA. We were not disappointed with the food, the fries were good and the cheese steaks quite good. Service was fairly fast too. Neither of us felt it was as fabulous as some reviews suggest, but it was pretty good. As to the decor - so to speak - we assumed they are trying for an eclectic, old-timey sort of thing, but we found it cluttered, hard to move around (even though there were only 4-5 other people there) and the owner's choice to display his extremist politics as part of the 'decor' was a turn-off: yes of course everyone gets their opinion and we would never deny this to any American, but how smart it is for a retail place to annoy customers is questionable. But that aside, it was good food at a fair price.

“Best cheesesteak and fries!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012

My husband and I have been traveling to Gettysburg at least once a year for the last 10 years, and we never miss stopping by. We have tried almost everything on the menu, and loved all of it. But, nothing compares to the cheesesteaks and fries. Amazing! The prices are reasonable, and the service is always good. Everyone is so friendly. And, the location is great, right in the heart of historic down town Gettysburg. You can grab a bite, and walk a short distance to various sites like the Dobbin House, the National Cemetery, the Jennie Wade House, etc. There are also a lot of fun shops close by. We can't wait to return next year!

“Great fries and cheesesteak”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012 via mobile

Second time here. Quality meat used for the cheesesteaks making them tasty and fresh tasting. Fries are plentiful even for a small. The fun part is looking at all the stuff hanging up while waiting.
