“Great place to grab lunch in the historic Gettysburg area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013 via mobile

Just visited Gettysburg for the first time. I am not familiar with the area and looked around at the battlefields for a couple of hours. My family was getting hungry so we stopped by the pub. The atmosphere is very nice fitting the historic venues. The food came out within 20 minutes so not too bad. The food itself was excellent and was not undercooked or overdone. A little on the expensive side but is worth the money. Service was nice and gave me the check quickly. Great restaurant to relax and to enjoy what the historic venues have to offer.

“Good food and bar”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

The Pub is a great restaurant right on the circle. A definite pub style menu with some more substantial entrees thrown in. Large drink menu, and the crab soup is GREAT!

“Just OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

It must not have been my weekend for good dining in Gettysburg! We checked in at the Irish pub down the street and the wait was an hour (with very good reason), but my gang was hungry, so we ended up at the Pub. The service provided by Kirk was very good and he was a very pleasant young guy. Started with the French onion soup. The pretzel on the side was delicious. That's where it ended. The soup itself was greasy and not flavorful. The cheese melted on top was pretty good, but glob of soggy stale bread underneath was, frankly, gross. What happened to croutons or crostinis? Never finished the soup. The chorizo sliders I ordered were tasty, but a tad overcooked for me and the homemade chips on the side seemed homemade a month ago. Not sure I would return.

“Very good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

The Pub is a bit pricey, but not excessively, and the food is very good. Their open face, baked chicken salad sandwich, with Swiss, tomato, dates, cranberries, coconut and other goodies is fantastic. The sweet potato bisque is even more wonderful. The beer-batter fries are great too.

“Nice atmosphere, great service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

Ate here as a family on a Sunday evening in the dining room. They have a good selection of beers and a varied menu. Both my kids got pasta dishes and it was a LOT of food. The pretzel appetizer was yummy and more than enough for the four of us. I had the muffaletta sandwich which was also good (and so often not!). Not quite New Orleans, but delicious just the same. On top of it all, our waiter was fantastic, checking in frequently and sharing just the right amount of conversation. We had a great meal & would definitely go back.
