“All about quantity”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2014

Maybe I am being harsh, but this place is really about "all you CAN eat" which places quantity over everything else......some people undoubtedly like this.

“Good home-made food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2014

Popular place especially with the tour groups so it can get a little crowded. Selections include baked ham & roast beef, fried chicken, and sliced (real) turkey in gravy, plus several side items (vegetables & such), a nice salad bar, and a variety of home-made desserts.
There is a gift shop and the battle theater wax museum attached (the restaurant is to the rear). The entire staff is friendly and helpful.

“Nice and crowded”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2014

Very popular, especially with tour busses, homestyle buffet. Carving stations, good starchy sides, nice dessert selection. The battle theater wax museum is on the opposite side of the building, and it features a good gift shop. Make no mistake, this is a touristy place, but it's priced decently, has good variety, especially for families and the staff is friendly and accomodating. If you're in Gettysburg and in a buffet mood this is the place.

“Service: A++, Food: C+”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2014

Went here for lunch during our Gettysburg vacation and didn't expect a lot since most buffets are pretty sad quality food but the kids really wanted to go here. We were surprised with the amazing customer service. The waitress was very friendly and even the chef came out to chat. Food was average frozen or canned food with a few homemade items sprinkled in. Pies and bread were homemade and the salad bar offering was decent. Overall a pretty good experience and price was fair.

“Nice little buffet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2014

General Picketts Buffet had pretty good homestyle food at a decent price. The buffet didn't stay stocked on a couple of the items that I was hoping to try during the time we were there but all in all it wasn't too bad. There's also a dessert bar that had quite a few choices. The staff was very friendly. There's a little gift shop attached to it that the kids enjoyed.
