“Great atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

The Dobbin house has two levels. The top is fine dining and the bottom has sandwiches, etc. The lower level has great colonial atmosphere. It was cramped but lit by candlelight. Very fun. The food was okay.

“Best place to eat in Gettysburg”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

Ate there for the 150th, would eat there again for 150 more! We waited for a table downstairs and were beyond pleasantly surprised! Staff was overly-friendly and the food was exceptional. Might be a great place to eat outside, but the downstairs is where it's at.

“Great Atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

We had lunch at the tavern style restaurant in the basement. The atmosphere was awesome, but the food was just okay. The portions were a little on the small side.

“The place to be”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

Wanted to eat in the lower level but by 5:30pm it was packed. So went to main floor/2nd floor. Prices there are more expensive but the decor was die for. The food (Salmon) was some of the best I have ever had. Drinks were of a normal price for other places I eaten around the country. It is one of the oldest building in the area and the workers dress as if still in the 1800's.

“Excellent Historical House \ Restruant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

An excellent restruant inside of a 1700's era home in Gettysburg. Food was very good - we enjoyed the pork chops and duck. The french onion soup was also very good. THe waitress was able to tell us the history of the home and owners which was very fascinating. You can also see a 'hide out' used to hide run away slaves as part of the underground railroad. The only drawback to our visit was that it was during a Harley biker weekend... Unfortunately we didn't know and the noise from the bikers really ruined the atmosphere of the restruant and all of Gettysburg... So much so that we found some stores we wanted to visit had closed up due to the bikers...
