We recently stayed at the Federal Pointe Inn located in the central area of Gettysburg, PA just off of the center of town. The hotel is actually the old Meade School building that was originally build of brick construction in 1846. The remodeling is absolutely beautiful! The rooms are converted classrooms with 12' ceiling and traditional wood mouldings and trims. The sleeping area and bathroom are tastefully appointed with federal period furniture that is kept in beautiful condition. The bed was very comfortable and bed linens are refreshed regularly. We found the staff to be very courteous and helpful with places to eat and directions to the attractions. The hotel is is just off the center of town but close enough where you can walk to most of the local attractions. The Gettysburg Historic Battlefield and museum are just 2mi away and easily accessible by car. If you are looking for a B & B type environment I would highly recommend considering this property.
