We visited Boyds Bear Country on October 4th. Driving up we did not know what to expect, but as we turned onto the property this huge bear mural greeted us. Even though it looks like a barn as soon as you walk in it feels like a log cabin. The wood walls and the fireplace drawing you in and make the place feel smaller than what it really is. We did the museum walk through first and learned about the history of the company. The rest of the main floor and the second floor are bears, bears, bears. Actually include the third floor as well, it contains a bear nursery and a build a bear zone. Even if you are not going to buy anything you have to check out all the different bear displays. Notice all the detail they put into it and appreciate the creativity.
There is a food court on the bottom floor. You have your choice from a deli, bakery, or eating family style. We skipped this and pigged out on fudge. There is a type of general store that sells bagged gummi bears, peanuts, etc. Perfect snacks for that ride home.
