“An incredible Inn!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

Our stay at the Inn at White Oaks was incredible: from the wonderful hospitality of the owners, attention to detail and service, excellent breakfasts, ability to stretch out given the size of guest rooms (very large), and park-like setting with ponds and neatly landscaped grounds. We have been at many B&B's before but none have had the overall excellence along with charm w/o being quaint and peacefulness of the Inn at White Oak. Our choice was a last minute decision that paid off so well we are looking to return again with family and friends. Highly recommend this Inn.

Room Tip: The first floor has a very large room looking out on the pond with a fireplace, and king size bed th...

Just far enough outside of Gettysburg to avoid the crowds and traffic, but not too far that you can't run into town for a bite to eat. Set back on a secluded estate, the owners are the most pleasant couple, very welcoming, a tour is given to you upon arrival and between the home theatre and the magnificent rooms, it's almost hard to take in all at once. The three course breakfast and the warm cookies served in the evening were parts of our trip we'll never forget. We enjoyed out stay and will be back!

My husband and I had an amazing stay at the Inn. Absolutely loved the walk around the property and relaxing on the deck and enjoying the Koi pond. The coffee/tea/snacks around the clock is such a wonderful and appreciated ammenity. The Innkeepers have mastered a blend of welcoming and knowledgable friendliness mixed with respect for their guests privacy. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, and kept us full for hours of exploration time. The Inn and the room we stayed in (Major's Quarters) was clean, with lovely decorations! I would absolutely return.

I just wanted to say what a perfect stay we had at the Inn at White Oak! We were married at the inn and Jillian, Samuel, “Mom and Dad”. Made everything perfect! Not only we got breakfast in bed they went out of there way to make us feel at home. Everything was great. The breakfast is so yummy! And I would suggest the Ginger cookies, they were soft and had the best taste. We stay in the Commander’s Quarter and the room was so comfortable and beautiful. And the bed was probably the most comfortable I have slept in. We looked Albert ( the bearskin rug). LOL… Would HIGHLY recommend this Inn to anyone. We will return soon!

Room Tip: All the room were beautiful, but if you want a once in a lifetime experence, I recommed the Commande...

Having accomodated our last minute request for a room, we were already impressed with the hospitality of the Innkeepers! What a pleasant surpirise to find that the Inn at White Oak itself was a gem! The room was wonderful, the setting sublime, and the breakfast to die for! We will be back!

We had a wonderful experience staying at The Inn at White Oak in October. The staff was excellent, and all part of the same lovely family. Our room (The Majors Room) was large and very comfortable. Breakfasts are exceptional. The Inn is tastefully decorated. This is about as inviting a hotel as any place we've ever stayed. Highly recommended.

We just stayed a week at the Inn at White Oak and are already planning our next visit! It was much, much more than a typical bed and breakfast, in fact we would describe it as a warm, welcoming, personal, private, peaceful, home that is also a luxurious, pampering intimate resort with amenities, such as a professional full service Spa and soon opening year-around heated indoor swimming pool, billiards, game room, movie theatre equal to the finest larger resorts. The exception here being you also feel like you have your own private paradise! Yes, the bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept on, the guest rooms are even larger than they appear on the website and the breakfasts are gourmet, grand, and the best we've tasted-but the Inn at White Oak is much, much more than a bed and breakfast. It was an experience unto itself that would make us return to Gettysburg over and over again despite the areas historical sites. It is a destination unto itself worth repeating each year! This was by far the best vacation experience we have ever had and we can't wait to return.

Room Tip: We got a tour of each of the guest rooms and they are each uniquely beautiful and luxurious. We will...
