This B&B is about twenty minutes from Gettysburg, located on the Mason-Dixon line so that some rooms are in Pennsylvania, others in Maryland. The owners have done an amazing restoration of the 1740 property, and will give you all the history you're up for. The basement is restored to look like an original era room, with a tribute to the slaves who once lived there. The rooms and breakfast are some of the best we've encountered at B&Bs, and the location near a creek, on hundreds of acres of quiet land, was idyllic yet close enough to Gettysburg attractions to be perfect. Fireflies, a bunny hopping past, and the old smokehouse out back take you back in time. The owners live off-site but are willing to help and accommodate whatever is needed. Would definitely return, and recommend highly!
