“Last minute getaway - perfect!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013 via mobile

We were fortunate enough to get a room at this amazing place. We stayed on the top floor, a suite that included all of the amenities: full kitchen, king size bed, plenty of seating. The room was full of so much charm and wa so cozy, we contemplated even leaving! And the fact it is located on the square I'm the heart of Gettysburg meant we could run out for dinner or do some shopping and site seeing and easily run back to our room to drop a few things off. The service was outstanding and we felt like we were at home. Highly recommend this place!

Can't say enough about the comfort and location of the inn. As for our innkeeper, Jeannine, she made us feel at home and part of her family. She accommodated us in every way. Miss the inn and Jeannine. We will definitely be back. We returned home with great memories. Thanks Jeannine. See you soon from Sharon and family.

This inn is located downtown, where restaurants, shops, etc. are all in walking distance. We stayed in the first floot Danner Suite--extremely spacious with bedroom, sitting area, kitchenette, and a large comfortable bathroom (shower only) with plenty of counterspace. Although we didn't take much advantage of the kitchenette, it was well-equipped and would be great for anyone who wanted to eat in more often than we did. Our innkeeper, Jeannine, kept the fridge stocked with water and the baskets on the table filled with more fruit and muffins than two of us could ever consume. Jeannine was very welcoming and helpful throughout, loaning us great DVDs for a Gettysburg battlefield tour and changing light bulbs to 100 watts in the bedroom to accommodate our aging eyes. But saving the best for last, she accompanied us to our car when we were leaving, where we discovered that our battery was dead. She promptly pulled her car around and helped us jump start ours. On the road in 5 minutes!

Room Tip: The first floor suite's sitting area is just steps from the square. Although we didn't find...

We stayed recently at in the Mary Juliet Danner Suite, and overall had a very nice visit.

Overall this was very nice room, appropriately decorated in mid-1800’s style. The room is made up a bedroom and a sitting room, separated by a small kitchenette. There is a large and well maintained bathroom (shower only) off the bedroom. Overall the suite was quite large.

The kitchenette well stocked (small frig, sink, coffee maker, coffee, plates, knives, plates, etc.). We found ourselves using this a bit more than we anticipated.

The bed was a very comfortable king-sized bed – firm and felt relatively new. We only ask that they provide a couple of real down pillows.

The suite had its own AC/heating control that we found worked quite well, and was not too noisy when running.

The sitting room could easily accommodate 5 or 6 people if you wanted to meet up for coffee or drinks before dinner. Do note that the suite is on the ground floor with the two sitting room windows looking directly onto Lincoln Square. This provides a nice view, but does mean closing the shades for privacy.

We appreciated that fresh fruit and muffins were in the room, and replenished each day. This, combined with the coffee, made for a much less hectic morning.

The location is very convenient – directly on the Gettysburg square. This led to a bit of occasional street noise, but nothing too bad.

Jeannine, our innkeeper, was great. She helped us get organized and settle in. She also set up a driving tour of the Battlefield with a licensed NPS guide. Three hours was $83 ($100 with a tip) and well worth it.

Compared to other inns and hotels, we felt the room price was a good value. We’d recommend this place to others, especially those wanting a downtown/historic experience.

We spent 2 nights in the Annie Danner Suite and it was a pure delight. Jeannine, the very friendly and knowledgeable innkeeper, met us on the street to show us our parking spot. She made our stay so comfortable and was a pleasure to talk to, and gave great recommendations on places to eat and things to do and see. The muffins, fresh fruits, coffee, and water in the rooms was a great addition. The bed was super comfortable and the place was immaculately clean given its age. I highly recommend to stay here if you come to Gettysburg.

Room Tip: The Annie Danner was on the third floor with a good view of the circle in town.

The Inn at Lincoln Square is a treasure. The location, in the very heart of town, could not be better, and the accommodations were attractive, comfortable, and so spacious we could have thrown a dinner party in our kitchen if we hadn't been so busy seeing the sights. We (a group of four friends) were in one of the townhouses, so for less than $100/person, we had the enormous and very well-equipped kitchen/dining room (equipped with coffee and a coffee maker, cream, bottled water, etc.), a good-sized living room, three lovely bedrooms and an enclosed outdoor garden. The place itself would have made us very happy -- especially in contrast to the high-priced alternatives -- but Innkeeper Jeannine put the experience over the top. Warm and friendly over the phone and in person, she greeted us with muffins, a fruit bowl and a package of information about the local attractions. When one of our group wanted to look up some former classmates, Jeannine produced a phone book. I can't recommend the Inn highly enough.

We had a great time at the Inn on Lincoln Square. The room was in great shape and was very spacious. The small touches (fresh fruit, coffee/tea maker, bottled water, muffins, etc...) really made this trip stand out in our minds. The location couldn't be better for walking around town and experiencing the quaint features of Gettysburg. Jeannine was fantastic as well. She met us at the street to show us the parking space, personally took us through our room and attended to our every need. She even had an audio tour disc of the battlefield that we used! All told this was a great trip made amazing by the experience at the Inn on Lincoln Square.
