“Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

We found the cyclorama to be amazing and worth the price. Take time to really soak in the artist's rendition of the battle scenes. We visited the cyclorama after touring the battlefield grounds and found that the scenes made so much more sense to us.

“Henry ! . .. Henry Shrapenel - Of all People.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

Amazing what one can learn without paying the admission fee and just wandering in the ample anterooms of history.

Me, "Mr. Wikipedia", learned today at the Gettysburg NPS & VC that the term came from a personage, Henry Shrapnel, an English artillery officer b.1761-d.1842.

Our party was in a hurry today so my input is minimal but impacting. Like shrapnel...

“Interesting and Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

Our family (including 2 kids, ages 12 and 9) visited Gettysburg and saw the Cyclorama. There is a movie introduction before you enter the Cyclorama. It is a beautiful painting that surrounds you, with a "show" where there is narration and different parts of the painting is highlighted. It is a great overview before touring the battlefield. It is not to be missed!
