We traveled to Gettysburg for the Cemetery luminary. This is when candles are placed on the grave markers for an evening visit. Due to wind, the event was sadly cancelled. It was still a beautiful visit though. Civil War reenactors kept guard at the large monument in the center of the cemetery and taps played in the distance. We were still able to pay our respects to the men who fought and died at Gettysburg. I highly recommend visiting at any time of the year.
