Owner description: This is part of the park, the first national cemetary in the country, absolutly beautiful and humbling. Id like to do a review of it to let others who come to your site know to visit it.

“Quite Moving!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

It's here that can be found Lincoln Speech Memorial, as well as the burial of numerous unknown soldiers who died during the battles in Gettysburg. Some of them were able to be identified and their names are indicated on their tomb. This cemetery also contains tombs of soldiers from other wars. It makes us realize the cost it took during the Civil War. Quite moving!

“Pristine and relevant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

We toured this site at the end of our battlefield tour. We saved it for last (were leaving next day) and so glad we did not skip it. Beautiful trees, peaceful, and a step back in time. The soldier in period dress at the front greets you and sets the tone. It's not just another cemetery and doesn't take too long to visit.

“Very moving experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

To realize you are standing very close to the spot Abraham Lincoln gave his address is humbling. The interpreters did an excellent job bringing to life the experience. Don't bring your dog with you, they are understandably not allowed in the cemetary.
