“Eisenhower National Historic Site”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013

We added this stop to our Gettysburg exhibit last week. We enjoyed our visit very much! The house contains the many gifts that were given to the Eisenhower family by world leaders and friends. It is still a working farm which is neat.

“A must see near Gettysburg”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

One needs to buy very reasonably priced tickets at the visitor's center and grab a shuttle that takes you to the Eisenhower Farm. There are guides to give you background and then one can go off on their own and visit the vast grounds, houses and farm buildings. Most of the furniture is the Eisenhowers. One comes away from their main house with a real sense of the President and First Lady. Excellently preserved and well marked, in fact one can use their cell phone and log onto a site to get place by place verbal descriptions! The National Park Service does it right!

“A blast from the past”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

We took a break during our tour of the Park, and visited the Eisenhower house. The house is still furnished with the Eisenhower's furniture. It is a step back into the fifties. We also attended a talk by a great park guide, who discussed Omaha Beach and displayed may of the weapons and equipment that were carried by the soldiers. Very emotional and history to life.

This is a family friendly farm where a visitor really gets to know Pres. Eisenhower. It is a beautiful setting.

“Interesting visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

Just like the man, the Eisenhower home is not flashy but it has a lot to recommend it. Plain but comfortable home, well-tended fields and outbuildings and nice review of Ike's life. Well worth the trip to see it.
