My wife and I got a rate through Hotwire of $121/night for the Hyatt at Penn's Landing, which was listed as a 4-star hotel in Center-City. The room was a good size and very comfortable. The service was professional, though reception was a little chilly. The pool was lovely and surrounded by an outdoor deck that overlooked the Delaware river. The concierge (Chris) was very helpful and booked us into two wonderful restaurants. On that note, with many culinary and night-life options within a ten-minute walk, there is no need to spend a minute at the hotel's bar/restaurant. Of the 4-star options in Center-City, there are hotels more centrally located, but the Hyatt's locale has its benefits. There were two annoyances that befuddled me considering the hotel's rating and market-value of $220/night. For some reason, guests arriving by car are dinged $21/day for parking (more for valet service) and guests expecting wireless internet should be prepared to sign up through T-Mobile and pay an extra $10/day. Free parking and internet access are amenities I would expect from most 3-star hotels and I can't understand why the Hyatt feels it can get away with charging $31/day for such basic features. With that in brain, I would say book yourself into the Hyatt only if you're getting a deal through a website like Hotwire or Hotels.com
