“Good standard of hotel in good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

Stayed here just for one night with family and found it to be a good all round hotel with large clean rooms and good service. We were able to walk to most of the attractions. My only moan is the price of the car parking as it is out of town.

Wonderful comfortable room overlooking Penn's Landing. Excellent Restaurant, dinner- Prime rib, buffet for Breakfast. Made our trip to the Phila Flower Show a wonderful experience. The door man was so helpful, it was snowing and He parked our car, since I was in a wheelchair He did not want us to get wet. Desk customer service gave us a corner room with views. Miriam Turner

Room Tip: Best view Corner- 2 views room #116

Stayed 2 nights to spend some time in the city. The hotel is on the Delaware river, our room had a great view of Camden. Not something that anybody would ask for but when your view the city from a distance it doesn't seem that bad. Overall the hotel was clean the rooms are up to date with a small fridge and flat screen tv, extra outlets for devices and a iphone speaker dock.
Didn't have any breakfast there but the burgers in the bar were really good. Hotel has a nice size indoor pool. We made the decision to not swim after taking a peek inside. There were tons of kids and I could just imagine how much pee was in there.
Good location, your not in the heart of Philly but a quick walk can put you there.
Parking is 30$ a night but you have in and out privilege

I really liked this hotel! Very spacious rooms and bathrooms, the usual comfortable Hyatt bed, and breathtaking views of the Delaware river and the bridge, especially at night.

Whilst I wouldn't consider this hotel walking distance from Philly CBD, cabs were easy to call from concierge and it is only a 5 mins drive/>$10 fare. Overall, a great base for a short holiday in the city. The nearby Old Town area gives you a sense of the history of the place, as well as lots of cool bars, good restaurants and some kitschy shopping places.

Stayed here on Hyatt points - this hotel is great value on the Hyatt rewards system!

Took a high school band to PHL and NYD for spring break. Location is great for this type of group. Dave & Buster's down the street for activity, Independent Seaport Museum, Spirit of Philadelphia all located within walking distance. Guest rooms very comfortable. Walls well insulated. Breakfast buffet diverse and very filling for every appetite. Motorcoach parking is a bit of a challenge if more than one group is in house. Three large vehicles limited on side of building. no way to "reserve" the spots. Staff is VERY accomodating and helpful.

Room Tip: Go for corner rooms. Fantastic views of the river.(811 and 911 in our block were great)

The Hyatt is positioned about 750 meters from the main pub, resturant and tourist areas. The hotel is modern and the level most would expect from a Hyatt. Swimming pool and gym facilities are provided and the rooms are a reasonable size. As appears to be a trend, the hotel charges over $30 a night for car parking, which seems a little steep, but disturbingly appears to be the norm.

This hotel was wonderful! We especially liked the warmth and attentiveness of the staff. Courtney at the front desk was especially helpful! We went there with our 4 year old and 6 month old in order to go to the Please Touch Museum (An awesome must-go-to for EVERYONE with kids under 7! - but that’s another review). The hotel was centrally located with a view of the Delaware River. We loved seeing the city and the boats light up at night. The room was spacious and clean. We had 2 double beds and a crib in it and there was still plenty of room to move around. They even provided us with complimentary dog dishes for our dog during our stay! The beds and sheets were SUPER comfortable and the shower wasn’t too bad. The Pool was nice but a little crowded. (Go during dinner time and it empties out a bit). It was only 4 feet at the deep end and 3 feet in the low end so it was great for little kids. We got a package deal that included free parking in the garage ($30/day) which is well worth it in the area, 2 free PAY-Per-View movies ($40) and tickets to the skating rink nearby but it was closed so they actually gave us tickets to the Please Touch Museum ($32 value) instead which was perfect since we wouldn't have gone skating anyway. (And the Museum was our reason for going to Philadelphia…lol). The restaurant in the hotel was nice with great ambiance. We ate lunch there and had a pretty good cheese steak. We got dessert there one night and it was kind of expensive ($8 for a bowl of ice cream or piece of cake). Good FYI we found out the second day is that if you make a left out of the hotel and go down a few miles there is a Walmart with a grocery store for snacks and breakfast food or whatever u might need. (There is also an IHOP, Famous Daves BBQ and other stores too). Though we didn't go into the historic district it was w/in walking distance and we plan to go back to Philly and this Hyatt in few years when our girls are older. The hotel is on a busy highway but it wasn't noisy at all. They also had an IPhone charging station /alarm clock with USB ports for charging other things which was REALLY convenient. Bottomline: Great hotel! A little pricey but the people , location and package make it well worth it!

Room Tip: ask for a Higher Floor with views
