This is the eighth Embassy Suites we've stayed in. The suites are huge and the view is great. It was a little walk to Independence Hall but we liked the location. The breakfast was great, plenty to drink at nite. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. We made reservations 4 1/2 months in advance- room for $99. What a deal!! but leave your car at home parking is way too pricey.

We just returned from two nights at the Embassy Suites Center City. The front desk staff was very professional upon check in and throughout the weekend we met several employees who were very friendly and helpful.
We requested a 2 double bed room on a high floor and that was exactly what we received. Our room was on the 24th floor with an awesome view of the Swann Fountain on Logan Square, the tree lined Ben Franklin Parkway and the Philadelphia Art Museum in the distance. The facade of the building is being renovated, so the front of the landmark round building was covered a little in scaffolding and ropes, but otherwise everything was in good order and in fine repair.
Our room was enormous, like having a one bedroom apartment in the city. The beds were very comfortable, although sitting on the sofa bed when it was a sofa was a bit hard on the butt. The carpeting in our room looked brand new and the only signs of age was a bit of peeling ceiling paint in the corner of the bedroom. No cigarette burns, or spills or stains on anything. Lots of mirrors in the room, all which were very clean and not dusty at all.
The marble shower was good, with a curved shower curtain rod and decent lighting. Towels were new and plush.
Of course, the fridge and microwave were a plus, as was the wet bar and paper towels and glasses in the room. The TV carried about two dozen channels and had all the regular pay movies and Nintendo games you find on the LodgeNet system.
The hallways are really just a circular room from which the elevators and rooms come off, so there is a little bit of noise from the elevator bells, etc., but since their is only 12 rooms on each floor, there is not much foot traffic noise. Speaking of elevators, we never had to wait much for them, and for that I was thankful.
Meals at the adjacent TGI Fridays were good, but standard. That place gets packed in the evenings we learned.
I agree that the parking fees are exoribitant, but I've come to expect that in major cities. The valet was very busy upon checkout (it was Sunday morning),but the car was waiting for us when we went outside.
The manager's reception was a nice touch, but again, packed. Still, the bartenders were more than pleasant dealing with all of us.
We felt that this was overall a well-run hotel and we would definitely consider another stay here in the future.

I stayed here just recently. It is under construction and very over priced. Parking is horrible. You're basically forced to pay the over $27 for valet parking then it takes forever to get your car. The bedskirts were ripped and the couch had a huge gash in it. There was mildew in the shower and the carpets had dirt spots in every room. For the price stay at any one of the other hotels downtown. The free breakfast did help. You could make your own omelets.

It's closest to the museum but pretty far from everything else.

Great location -- walking distance to lots of museums, restaurants, $6.00 cab ride to Independence Hall; interesting layout - huge front room with pull out couch, kitchen area, balcony with great view; great buffet breakfast at the attached TGI Fridays; staff was polite and courteous, extra blankets/towels were brought to us within minutes; concierge was helpful with great restaurant suggestions. Would absolutely stay again; only drawback was the $24.95 plus tax for parking, however, the location of the hotel was so great, it was nice not to have to move the car the whole weekend.

The 109$ weekend rate seemed like a great deal. The room was very spacious, all though the carpet had a bunch of burns in it, like someone neglected the party waiver, but everything else was fine. The balcony had a great view of the bf parkway and the museum, overall would definately stay there again.
