“Nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Nice size room, lovely view of the fountain and museums. Wonderfully comfy bed. More pillows would have been nice. Did not like the shower. You had to step up from the floor level and not only did it feel odd it made it easier to slip. Wish the "children" would not have pulled the fire alarm at 2am, but that is not the fault of the hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Best part was the view and the distance to The Franklin Institute and other museums. We were on the 21st floor.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I am pleased you found our beds comfortable – I completely agree. We would have been more than happy to bring you some additional pillows on request, In future please feel free to ask us for anything which may make your stay more comfortable. I apologize for the fire alarm issue – whilst we cannot control the actions of our guest I hope you felt as though we handled the issue well.
We hope you will stay with us again next time you are in the area!

Many Thanks,

With just one night in Philadelphia, our travelling group wanted to make sure we were centrally located, but still had great amenities to keep us relaxed and refreshed to continue our road trip. We could not have done better than Embassy Suites for the price! The hotel is located very centrally - easy walking distance to main points, and quick, cheap, readily-available cab to take you everywhere else!

We had a room with 2 queen beds, plus a pull out sofa, in our two-room suite. There was ample room for 3 travellers, with a LOT of luggage. The room was very spacious and had all the comforts we required. The extra bed was already made up for us when we arrived, which was a welcome change from other hotels we stayed in during the trip. Free coffee in the room, free breakfast in the morning, and a balcony to sit on, were all bonuses of our short stay. The staff were all excellent, well-trained and friendly.

Would definitely stay here again if coming back to Philadelphia. We did not find any issues with amenities, air-con, or elevators as previous guests have....no complaints!

Room Tip: We were on the 12th floor and still managed some city views. Let them know in advance if you need th...

The Embassy Suites in Philadelphia had a great location. The staff was also friendly. The problem was that the room was not the cleanest. It wasn't filthy, but you could tell it wasn't thoroughly cleaned. The breakfast was good, but it was very crowded and difficult to move around to get food. There was a nice view and it was nice to have a balcony.

While I am glad you rated us four stars, I regret that we did not give you an experience that was worth 5. I am deeply disappointed that you found your room not to be thoroughly cleaned – I will address this with housekeeping as room should be spotless between each and every guest. I apologize breakfast was a little cramped, we do try and advise guests on the best times to avoid the rush but I am glad the breakfast was good!
We look forward to welcoming you back!

Great location in Logan Square, within walking distance of much of Center City. Decent no frills accommodation. Staff is exemplary - very friendly and informative. Hotel itself is a bit basic and ragged around the edges, but room size and high floor views are definite pluses.

The location of the hotel is amazing. Everything is within walking distance. Parking is a little steep at $48 a night so we just found a lot a few blocks away and parked there for the weekend, a car was not needed. We went one place too far to walk and just took a cab.

The rooms are big and have everything you need. They need a little work, like spots on the ceilings, nothing major, but they were overall clean and nice. The balcony was nice, wish there were chairs on it but it's easy enough to bring the ones from the table outside. The AC in the room worked great.

Breakfast was great every morning.

We had limited contact with the staff. Housekeeping was the nicest. Everyone else seemed annoyed. Granted, it was a busy weekend with the Made In America concert so I'm sure that attributed to it.

The fire alarm went off at 230am sat night, we were back in our rooms within 15 mins however there was really no communication to us during it as
to what was going on, until a pizza delivery man came up the stairs and told us it was a false alarm. It was scary to be woken up to the fire alarm, which talks to you, and not have any idea what was happening while everyone is standing in the stairs. We did get a note in the morning under our door apologizing though so that was a nice touch.

Biggest complaint is the elevators are horribly slow and not air conditioned. Neither are the hallways. We would press the call button then sit in our room waiting or else we would have been miserable in the stale hot air in the hall area. It was quicker to walk up 20+ plus of stairs than to wait for the elevator to even arrive. I'm all for energy conservation but when paying this much for a hotel it would have been nice to be able to stand in the hallways and elevators without sweating. The poor housekeeping staff looked exhausted from it.

If it weren't for the slow elevators and AC in the halls this would be a great hotel for visiting Philly. I hope they can fix those problems and the hotel would be what I would expect from an embassy suites.

Thank you for taking the time to share your most recent experience regarding the Embassy Suites Center City hotel. We are so excited you thought our rooms were large and clean, our team takes pride in ensuring our guest have the best experience possible. I’m glad you enjoyed our breakfast over this busy weekend, we opted to bring additional staff in to help assist with the demand of the hotel, I’m sorry if you thought team members were annoyed, we will utilize your commentary as a training tool for future busy weekends. We did unfortunately have someone pull the fire alarm and I am very sorry for the inconvenience and aggravation it may have caused. I’m surprised you did not hear the all clear announcement made shortly after the alarm, please accept my apologies for having to walk up the stairs, we will ensure proper testing is done for the future. I am so sorry if the elevator landings were uncomfortable, our main air conditioning unit went out temporarily, which has been repaired, but I hope this did not cause any inconvenience and please accept my sincerest apologies. The elevators can seem very slow when the hotel is fully committed as we were for this particular weekend, my hope is that you will come back to see us when you’re back in Philadelphia for a much better experience.

Many Thanks,

Emma S
