“Would eat here everyday!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2014

Was working close to this little family owned deli. So glad I found it. If I worked there more often, I'd eat there everyday. Loved the atmosphere. Only room for 8-10 customers and we took our order to go. Great Chicken Cheese Steak, Amazing service. Extremely friendly staff and loved the "little helper"! Will make it a point to return when in Philly. Best bread ever!!!

“Best Cheesesteak in a Cheesesteak Town: They Know How to Cook”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2011

This is an incredibly friendly, hospitable neighborhood deli/grill in the Passyunk Square neighborhood. Almost all the food is stuff you've tasted before and the menu is no great surprise. What's surprising is that anything you might order is going to taste just a little bit better than you've ever had it before. Fritatta? done on a grill with the fresh veg of the day and your choice of cheeses and meats. The famous Philadelphia Cheesesteak? Well, in most places it's just a self-congratulatory grease bomb. At Vincenzo's the beef still tastes like it came from a cow, the onions are caramely-brown and they use (imagine this!) real cheese!

Even if you don't have taste buds, you've got to like this place. Sit at the counter around the open kitchen and you'll soon be talking with the folks from the 'hood and smiling at Sue-the owner-and Michelle-her charming sous chef. Bring a bottle of wine if you want or ask for their delicious house-made iced tea.
No trip to Philadelphia is complete until you've gone south on Ninth Street from the Italian Market and stepped back into a friendlier, more delicious time at Vincenzo's. Only open for breakfast and lunch until 4pm.
