“Totally underwhelming”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013 via mobile

The ice cream and concoctions are nothing at all to write home about. What really surprised me was the service. There were four people working with two customers (us) and the ice cream took about 10 minutes to served...I've no idea how this place stays in business.

“Best vanilla ice cream in the WORLD!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

better even than the ice cream i had In France. Amazing. I can eat tubs of this ice cream because their vanilla isn't egg yolky. The service SUCKS tho. I don't know who these people think they are, they need to get a grip on themselves. i haven't been back because of that.

“Nostalgiac Place, Good Ice Cream”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

The first thing for which I have to give this place props is the fact that they provide a place in downtown Philly to get Ice Cream in the evening (closing time 9 PM at the time of this writing). There are a couple of other places as well but it was nice to go for dinner and then have a place to which we we were able to walk to finish our evening meal with a tasty dish of ice cream. This place is located in an historic row of shops on Chestnut St. and has a very nostalgiac feel. The staff is very freindly and relatively efficient. The prices are reasonable and the ice cream is very good. I actually had a no-sugar-added black cherry yogurt which was very enjoyable. There is also a candy shop integrated into the business that appears to offer some very attractive choices if you want to take home some chocolates or other sugary delicacies. If you are looking for a reasonably-priced dessert after diner when you are downtown, give this place a try.

“Ice Cream in downtown.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2012

We needed some ice cream and got some. Also had a mango sorbet. There were four of us. I had the milk shake but I should have asked for more chocolate. I had chocolate and coffee ice cream but needed more flavor. It was still good but too milky not mocha enough. The staff was very friendly and even gave me large taste of the cherry icec ream before I left. The address didn't seem right on the 'net so you might have to ask a local where it is like we did as we walked around the area.

“Just Average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012

Read a lot of reviews about this place before going, which were mixed. We went for the nostalgic experience, and it was good for that. But the ice cream was just average compared to many other ice cream shops, and it was a little pricey.
