“great tapas experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

We did the chef's tasting with wine pairing, and what an experience. Since one of us is vegetarian, the chef did multiple courses that we both could enjoy. So much food, so good. Server was so knowledgeable and patient with our questions (our first time really doing tapas). That said, it is a small place and it gets very loud very quickly. We had to resort to texting each other at our table just to communicate. Not the best place for a romantic dinner.

“Hip vibe & excellent food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

Amada has a hip vibe, excellent food, and great service. We had booked a late reservation on a Friday night and found the main dining room and bar area were packed. The crowd added to the atmosphere, as it was lively and provided great people-watching. The food was flavorful and wonderful, albeit a bit pricey, but it's definitely worth it. We look forward to returning there, as we thoroughly enjoyed it. I definitely suggest making a reservation, so that you don't miss out on the experience.

“Amada Philadelphia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2014

I have to say that this is the best dinner I have ever had in Philadelphia. Every single dish we had was absolutely outstanding - From the flat breads to the meatballs, everything was absolutely incredible. Service was very good, but the food was the star. The restaurant is pretty tiny and it can feel pretty cramped in there very quickly even if you eat as early as we did. Honestly, for the quality of the food, the prices really aren't bad at all.

“Best Tapas Ever Experienced”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2014

My husband and I had the most exquisite tapas we have ever eaten, hands down. The service was extraordinary, the wine list expansive, and the dishes to die for. Our server helped us select a wonderful bottle of Spanish red, very full-bodied, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The flavors of each dish were quite sophisticated. All in all it was a delightful experience. Not cheap, but really worth it. I highly recommend this restaurant!

“Fantastic Meal!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2014

I went to this restaurant with 2 friends. All three of us have very different tastes in food so we made our suggestions and then placed ourselves in our waitress' hands. I believe her name was Carrie, or something similar. An attractive young blonde woman, she knew her product and how to help her guests enjoy it. She did a spectacular job of guiding us through the many choices, while making sure that all 3 of us fully enjoyed the food.

Not only was the food excellent, I don't think there's a bad choice on the menu, at least, if their is, none of us chose it, but the service was exceptionally impressive. There were at least 6 different people that brought food to us as it became ready and every one of them was efficient, courteous, and fully versed in their product.

If you've been thinking about trying this place but have for some reason been holding back, don't. This is an excellent place to dine and you are lucky to have it here in Philadelphia. Great service, great food and, quite frankly, great fun. I highly recommend this restaurant. You'll be so glad when you finally give it a try.
