“Ordered home delivery... Nice food, reasonable price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

Ordered lunch for delivery for 6 while visiting our daughter in Philly...
Lamb Biryani was EXCELLENT, as were Saag paneer, Chicken, and Naan...
Fresh and not overly spiced (though we could have done spicier)...
Large portions and we had leftovers for dinner, too

Got delayed in delivery and just as we started getting nervous and called, the delivery was at the door...

Surprisingly, food was still hot and did not need to be re-heated in microwave!!

“Check the Prices in Mt. Airy”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

Tried to order a meal from Mt. Airy last night. The food is always hit or miss, but we ordered for the convenience. last night I realized my bill was almost $10 higher than it should have been. When I called back to question why, I was told they use a Tiffin menu up to 5pm, after 5 it is a different menu? Weird! I canceled my order.

By the way, this is not traditional Indian food. It is Americanized.

“Authentic Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2012

Very good quality food and rightly priced. All the dishes were very flavorful without being too spicy which is a balance most indian restaurants fail to achieve. Will go back again when I am visiting friends in Philly.

“Tiffin Indian Restaurant - Elkins Park, PA”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

We have adopted this restaurant as our traditional Friday night go-to place, since it is within walking distance from our home. There are several other restaurants in the same shopping center and we inevitably choose Tiffin's for their consistently good food and for the service.

The last time we visited this place, we had wonderful vegetarian fare and, of course, the portions were too generous so we had leftovers to take home. Our curries were wonderful and would be enough for another meal. The staff realized that the jasmine rice was a bit low and gave us a full container to take home, so that we could enjoy dinner the next day - at no extra charge.

We also got 4 small containers of sauces and rhaita, as a treat!

We so like the cuisine from this location that we often order appetizers and meals to take to our friends' homes when we visit.

A great neighborhood place to go for the food. The decor is clean, happy and a bit noisy, but nothing that a good curtain would not fix. The front doors are glass and the conversations bounce off the of the walls. Curtains would make it more intimate.
