“Attractive Wine Bar and Cheese Selection”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2013

On a recent mid day afternoon we stopped into Tria for a glass of wine and some light snacks. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately at a window-side table. The setting was intimate and very relaxing. Our waitress was helpful and pleasant. A nice place to unwind and talk. We tried several platters and really enjoyed a delicious brie like cheese, also a fig platter. Enjoyed the ambiance and interesting selections. Would like to return and sit outside in warmer weather.

“Perfect spot for happy hour!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013 via mobile

After a long day of museum visits today, Tria proved to be the perfect spot on a warm day to stop for happy hour at an outside table (it helped that it was also across the street from our hotel, the Alexander Inn). Although we arrived about 15 minutes prior to the official happy hour start time of 5 pm., our very friendly and cheerful waitress provided the happy hour menu upon request and graciously served us happy hour items. We loved sampling the daily choice of "Five for Five"- 2 wines, 2 beers, and a cheese plate each for $5. Can't attest to the quality of menu items like salads and sandwiches (all of which sounded enticing) but the roasted rosemary almonds, olives, cheese plate and wines that we did try were terrific, and well priced. Highly recommend!

“Good wine & cheese ...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

We start our evening adventure of Philly with stopping first at Tria for a glass of wine and some cheese. Got a great recommendation from the waitress for a cheese that was not on the menu (so ask!). Small place but intimate. Was good for a short sit down to enjoy a glass of good wine and good cheese plate. Did not have dinner so cannot comment.

“Great wine, weird waitress”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013

This was a place I was really excited to check out before I came to Philly- we never had time to eat here but did grab a glass of wine! I had a 'margarita' wine and it was fabulous! Our waitress was kind of rude, I'd like to think her comedic timing was off. We had a great time anyways with nice outdoor seating.

“Creative Food, Pleasant Surrounds”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013 via mobile

Went here while on a weekend trip to Philly and after a long day doing history. After a stint in the very crowded bar we were seated outside which was entirely pleasant.

Food: We LOVED every bit of it! Creative but workable ingredient combinations resulted in bite after bite of flavor bursts. Our resident 10 year old hoarded the Tuscan Bean spread then wanted to claim the asparagus/Parma small plate. We all loved the homemade lamb sausage. No big meals here, only small plates, luscious salads, bruschetta and sandwiches. We sampled widely and were not disappointed with any choice. Mom had an incredible asparagus, artichoke salad with many other bits in it... Dad had tuna/spinach sandwich and the child reports the goat cheese basil bruschetta was "A+++"

Drinks; fantastic selection of wines by the glass and beer as well. One small glitch -- the bartender said the Reisling was only "off dry" when in fact it was really sweet - but he let me switch without any fuss. Other than that, they made nice recommendations on beer.

Atmosphere/location: easy to walk to from conv center area-- about 15 minutes. Nice busy street with lots of happy foot traffic. The place is small and yes it is noisy. However everyone there seems happy and unperturbed by having to move to accommodate wait staff and patron. Yes it is abuzz inside, so if you are looking for quiet Romance this would not be you spot.

We loved this place.... Oh yeah.... Very attentive , nice wait staff.
