We've eaten at BP several times and always have a great time. The service is great, the staff genuinely seem happy to be there and take care of you. The food is expensive, but thus far, I have never had a meal that was less than outstanding. The shrimp cocktail --huge shrimp that are succulent and tasty. Typically, the bigger the shrimp, the less the flavor. Not so here. I love the dover sole. Melts in your mouth and fileted at the table. My husband is the carnivore and loves the steaks. Side dishes are nicely varied (sauteed mushrooms, onions, one or two greens and several starch (potato options). Desserts are also quite good, although we tend to pass these up since we are typically stuffed by the end of our meal.
The wine list is impressive and there is a nice range (price-wise) to chose from. If I had to find any fault, I think it might be the cocktails. They (martinis) aren't the same caliber as the rest of the meal (a bit on the weak side and not as creative as the rest of the dining experience). Minor point given the overall quality and experience. -- I do agree with previous reviewers that the place isn't "cheap", yet, I'm very happy to pay these prices b/c the quality is worth it to me. Definitely a great place to go for a special occasion.
