We've eaten at BP several times and always have a great time. The service is great, the staff genuinely seem happy to be there and take care of you. The food is expensive, but thus far, I have never had a meal that was less than outstanding. The shrimp cocktail --huge shrimp that are succulent and tasty. Typically, the bigger the shrimp, the less the flavor. Not so here. I love the dover sole. Melts in your mouth and fileted at the table. My husband is the carnivore and loves the steaks. Side dishes are nicely varied (sauteed mushrooms, onions, one or two greens and several starch (potato options). Desserts are also quite good, although we tend to pass these up since we are typically stuffed by the end of our meal.
The wine list is impressive and there is a nice range (price-wise) to chose from. If I had to find any fault, I think it might be the cocktails. They (martinis) aren't the same caliber as the rest of the meal (a bit on the weak side and not as creative as the rest of the dining experience). Minor point given the overall quality and experience. -- I do agree with previous reviewers that the place isn't "cheap", yet, I'm very happy to pay these prices b/c the quality is worth it to me. Definitely a great place to go for a special occasion.

The food at this restaurant is pretty good, but as far as steakhouses go, the steak isn't as good as Smith & Wollensky, Prime Rib, and others. You're paying for the "trendy" name and atmosphere, and you're paying more than you would at a "legit" steakhouse. This restaurant has it's place, but if you're serious about steak, go somewhere else.

My wife and I ate here this past Friday night. While the food was very good, the portions are huge. The staff was very knowledgable and friendly. But overall not the best for the money. The environment was very loud and young. For us, we prefer a quieter night out, so we'll stick with other high end places in town.

“Very Swish”

Excellent restaurant. Fillet steaks were huge...and delicious...and you even got the choice of FOUR different steak knives...how neat is that?

We started out with cocktails in the front bar at around 8pm. The restaurant was already getting busy, but the bar was just beginning to fill. The lounge furniture is very mod, yet comfortable and the noise level is just right (not too loud to stilt conversation, yet loud enough to feel like your somewhere happenin'.) Our cocktails were expertly made (the cosmo was a perfect pink) and you get a little bowl of pistachios to munch on.
The dining room is also very retro-modern, with decorated walnut bookcases, comfy bright chairs, marble tables, and chandliers setting off the otherwise all-ivory room. Our server Jason was excellent. At his suggestion, we ordered the fresh tomato and mozarella appetizer, two steaks (filet and strip,) and two sides (creamed spinach and potatos & onions.) You're even offered your choice of 4 top-of-the-line steakknives (2 German/ 2 Japanese.) We topped it off with an espresso and a great key lime brulee. All were abosolutely delicious.
So the downside: the bill was like $200 for two people. However, that's with two cocktails, a bottle of wine, and enough food to stuff a horse. Obviously, a couple could get eat here for less. Or more...there is a $100 cheesteak on the menu with Kobe beef and champaigne.
All in all: one of the best slurges I've had in a long time! Thoroughly enjoyed every penny I spent (until the credit card bill is due!)
