While on my back home walking to the subway station and hubby being a train buff, I just had to walk in the iconic PRR station/suburban station. With the beautiful décor of it's time, everything was kept original from the time of the PRR running at this stop. Huge doors from the streets of JFK Blvd. and 5th Street beckoned me to enter even though I passed by it countless times. Made up my mind while I had my camera to take photos of the inside. I only stayed on the first floor and breathtaking nonetheless. It is still functional busy foot traffic with 2 staff members at the desk to help you purchase tickets. Large elevator doors brings you to office suites upstairs.
It is now known to locals as the Suburban Lines/Penn Station. For regional use. Well-known
coffee shops dot the inside for food on the go. Entrances are clearly marked according to street name. Trains run downstairs. A nice attraction that is easy on the eyes and possibly a rest stop as you stroll Philadelphia. Not far from Love Park.
