“Could eat here every day.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2014

I LOVE this place. I legitimately could eat here every day. Scrap your Chipotle and Qdoba love (though I also live them) cause they don't even compare. Super fresh ingredients, fast service, and heavenly tasting food.

LOVE.

“Rushed, Some rude staff, mediocre food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

Just got back from an El Fuego lunch. There was a short line of lunch time workers. Don't expected any smiles or customer service. It's all 'head down', 'What do ya what? and 'Next'.

I asked the server to cut my buritto in half. He made a face, rolled his eyes and muttered something...... I've been before and was unimpressed (for the abrupt service), just happened to be in the area and thought I'd give it a second chance. Still unimpressed. I won't be back again. There's lots more places around Washington Square where they appreciate your business and have better food.

I've had much better Mexican takeout and MUCH better customer service. I'm stretching to give them 3 dots.

“Tasty Mexican food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Great place to get lunch. Bit pricey, but definitely worth it if you get a burrito bowl.
Like a reviewer said before, get there early (or late) to avoid the lines at lunch time.
Get extra guacamole. So good.

“Burrito Bowls Rock”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

Solid burrito bowl with all of the trimmings. I usually get the chorizo and it's great...not too spicy. A bit expensive, but a great treat on a Friday for lunch! Get there at 11:55am to beat the lines; they can get long!

“Excellent Mexican”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

We often get take out from El Fuego although they do have a casual seating area in which one could eat-in. The menu is simple but the dishes are made to order with very fresh ingredients. A favorite is the "burrito bowl" which recreates a burrito with choices of meats, beans and sauces without the actual tortilla wrapping ( saves a bit on unwanted carbs.) The service is quick and friendly and don't forget to grab a bottle from the large selection of Mexican sodas.
