My friends and I were finishing a nice meal- great food, friendly waiters- when the owner came to our table to "politely" ask us to leave so the table could be used. We had just received the bill (almost $400) and were just finishing our glasses of wine so we were a bit confused. A minute later he told the waiter right in front of our table that he had permission to seat others there. One of the girls in the party told him that was very rude and we were just finishing our wine and waiting for a friend to come back from the ladies room. He did not like this at all and came back a minute later and told us we had to leave and started screaming to get off his property. It was incredibly embarrassing and uncalled for. We had a table of 8 and were seated less than 2 hours.. after being seated 20 min late for our reservation. I've read reviews on Yelp with similar stories so it seems to me a common occurrence with larger parties. With all of the restaurant choices in Philadelphia, I don't know how this one stays in business if it treats its customers with such disrespect.
