“cash only diner on 17th street”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

Had breakfast two days. The waitress recognized us the 2nd day and her service was good. Had a western omelet special on Wednesday that was at least 3 eggs with nice helping of onion pepper & ham, included coffee for 6.50. Wife had a huge fruitcup and another day hash& eggs.
Coffee was better than most diner coffee.
Quick, easy and the price is right,
Looks just like a diner inside including sets at the formica counter.

“Great breakfast place.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

Sit at the counter and pretend it's 1955. Leave plenty of time, as you might have to wait to get a seat. Portions are huge and prices are low. A wonderful combination!

“An absolute gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013

Friendly staff and excellent food. Had two take out dinners which included soup, salad, drinks, entrees and deserts all for one price. Two blocks closer to Rittenhouse SQ, these meals would be the hit of the evening at 3x the price. Their portions are large enough for two and wonderfully comforting after a long day. You MUST put the rice pudding upon your bucket list. Eleni, the manager, is a world traveler Philadelphia native with wonderful stories and an attentive staff. BRAVO. A "must return to" for my family. Superb neighborhood location for art, music, and neighborhood walkabout. Open 24 hours. Jeans or black tie, enjoy! You are home.

“$3.95 Monday breakfast works!”

You are in a real diner, coming here. Nothing fancy and it would feel like home to anyone. Good portions and good food, great coffee; all 24-7.

“Excellent!!! (especially at 1 am)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

To think that I could get a true Philly cheesesteak delivered to my hotel room at 1 am... happiness! It was delicious and the delivery guy was also nice enough (when asked) to give me some suggestions on what to see in the city that was local... not on a historic register.
