As I have had the pleasure to eat at three other Morton's restaurants - Chicago, Toronto, and Fort Lauderdale, I was truly disappointment with my visit to this restaurant. My family and I started our vacation with our first dinner at Morton's. Our greeting by the hostess was enthusiastic, but then went downhill in a hurry from there. Our initial server, Drew introduced himself, asked us our water preference, and then advised us that "there are many of us around, if you need anything just flag one of us down". What is this - Jack Astors?
I requested the Savor the Summer menu, which was written in a six (6) point font! Our next server did not introduce himself, was apathetic, and then when I brought his and his colleagues less than "Mortons like" demeanour, he apologized and then we didn't see either one of them again. Our third and final server was a significant improvement and I hope that he did not share his gratuity with his colleagues.
I am positive that the manager was advised; however, no one came over to discuss my concern. I advised in my reservation information of a severe food allergy and there was no attention paid to this allergy (with the exception of the hostess) and I had to confirm if certain items had the allergen. Also, we did not receive the typical Morton's explanation regarding aging of the steaks, cuts of meat and so on... I was less than impressed and even more disappointed, as this visit was my family's first visit to a Morton's restaurant. As there are many steakhouses to choose from in Philadelphia, I will never return to this Morton's restaurant.
