“Superb Seafood followed by sublime desserts...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

Devon Seafood delivered fresh perfectly prepared seafood followed by superior desserts.
Here's what we enjoyed:
1. Barramundi from Malaysia, a buttery moist fish
2. Seared scallops, the awesome scallop sear was full of flavor
3. Sides we tried: lobster mac n cheese (good), Parmesan roasted potatoes (yummy), grilled asparagus (with tasty tomato topper), and apple and celery root coleslaw (crispy good).
4. Creme brulee, creamy traditional brulee with 3 perfect raspberries on top. Might have liked a darker burnt sugar top but that is nitpick
5 Carrot cake. Delicious fusion of carrot cake with a pecan praline filling (similar to German chocolate cake pecan filling) between the cake layers. The pairing works.

“Center City Gem”

A beautiful little restaurant that Faces Rittenhouse square in downtown Philadelphia. Outdoor dining is available. Their specialty is fresh fish and seafood. Very nice atmosphere. The food was excellent, along with the service..

“We'd promised ourselves a return visit for dinner, and were not disappointed...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2014

Madame and I thoroughly enjoyed a Saturday lunch at Devon early in 2013, so when we knew we were coming back to Philadelphia we knew we wanted to book in for dinner. We're very glad we did -- my oysters were fresh and presented a variety of tastes, and the grilled grouper (for some reason, rendered as "Groper" both on the menu and in the staff's pronunciation) was superb. My wife's selections (a crab cake, summer rolls, and lobster mac-n-cheese) were great as well, and as we shared the macaroni dish I've got it on my mental list to order next time. Wines were diverse and slightly pricey, but we found a sauvignon blanc in our price range that we liked a great deal. The place was very busy, yet service was fast, friendly, and accurate. All in all, it is a top-drawer establishment and a must-visit restaurant when we come to Philadelphia --

“Good fish selection ”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014

We enjoyed our time at Devon's. They had a lot of variety and the staff was knowledgable about each selection. The appetizers were delicious, and it was fun to try the different oysters.

“Stop fishing for a place to eat in Rittenhouse Square”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2014

This is my go-to restaurant in Rittenhouse Square. The food is always fresh and perfectly prepared. Pair that with a cocktail of your choice and great service and it doesn't get much better. I have had many different dishes here and all have been excellent. I have sat at the bar, at the front section of the restaurant and down below inside the restaurant. Each location has it's own benefit. None the less my experiences have always been wonderful. I have nothing but praise for the food and the help. Treat yourself to a wonderful dinning experience in a wonderful location.
