“Off the beaten path cafe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2012

Located in a quiet neighborhood just south of South Street, the Fitzwater Cafe has a limited selection of breakfast and lunch items but what they have is very good. a negative for us is that it is cash only.

“Crème brulée olé!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Charming, cheerful atmosphere and friendly service, but no credit cards. The crème brulée French toast (with fresh berries) was mouth-wateringly delicious and my dining companions raved about the breakfast tacos! A pleasant walk from where we were staying and a great way to fuel up for a visit to the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Best brunch in Philadelphia. Service is good, food is amazing. Bring cash though, no cards accepted.

“Convenient, Consistent, Pleasant Lunch”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2012

The food is good and convenient for a quick lunch. It's more a place to go to eat then to go for a treat of food that you can not cook at home.

“Good food from breakfast to dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2012

This neighborhood cafe is in a former gasoline station. Its' bake goods are excellent. Many locals gather to eat breakfast or lunch with friends. The dinner menu is limited to salads and pasta but prepared very well. If my memory serves me right it is cash only.
