Based on TripAdvisor reviews, we made a detour to Angkor on our way into downtown Philadelphia for a weekend. We sure were glad we did! This was our first experience with Cambodian food and Angkor has set the bar high for any other Cambodian restaurant we try in the future. We shared four different appetizers and one entrée. Each was carefully prepared and beautifully plated, beautifully fresh, and the flavors of each were delicate, distinctive and delectable. Their house-made fish sauce was FABULOUS. The service was welcoming, friendly, and helpful in introducing us to Cambodian cuisine. The restaurant’s décor was fresh, pleasant and impeccably clean. The icing-on-the-cake was chef Kim Tieng’s little spiral-bound cookbook with thirty-two user-friendly recipes for dishes served at the restaurant that was for sale at the register. Her website is www.Kimdelish.com. We WILL be back the next time we are in the Philadelphia area. Don't miss this treasure!
