The experience here is bizarre but fun in an odd sort of way. One must wait in line, have one's clothing reviewed (note: this isn't a joke--- one of our group was wearing what appeared to be sneakers, and we were almost denied admission), produce ID, then, if one is lucky, be admitted to a small waiting room where the rules of the house are reviewed (summarized: restrict use of cellphones and don't be a rude fool). Once inside, it's as if the scene has reverted to "bars of the 1930s"-- dark, formal, tables well apart. The drinks menu is quite ornate--- mixology rules here. And, as noted, at roughly $14 a drink. But well worth the time and effort. I'm a scotch guy (not often the source of mixed drinks) and had an Operation Overlord (single malt scotch, honey liqueur and two fruit juices--- interesting but ultimately a waste of good scotch); others in our group enjoyed their drinks greatly. Lots of fun--- you should go at least once.
