“A little touch of heaven tucked away in Chestnut Hill”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

The Arboretum was beautiful even in the fall. We were just looking for something to do for the day and to hike for the day. Well, this certainly was the place to do that with the many trails and hills. Being handicapped myself, it was a great workout to walk through the many trails. My husband and I took the self guided tour. Only got lost once, which we came to a dead end at a fence. But we had an awesome day looking at all the trees and flowers and listening to the sounds of the woods. We will visit again when everything is blooming. Oh and the day we were there was overcast and in some spots the mosquitos were pretty bad...lol it made us keep moving! But all in all the gardens were beautiful! So worth seeing!! And there's a lot to learn there also.

“Early April is the Wrong Time for Morris Arboretum”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

I'm sure this place is beautiful in the late spring and summer. We went on April 2 and there really wasn't much to see. They had the giant bugs exhibit and that was ok. But overall, I'd go again but not until the gardens are in bloom.

“Great outdoor trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

We particularly like the outdoor railroad display. Each year beginning in May they reopen the trains with a ne theme. They then close the display in September to reopent for the holidays Nov and Dec. The out on a limb childrens area is unique and fun for all. The summer concerts are a great way to spend the evening.

“A Must During Summer, But Wonderful Every Season!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

Are you looking for that special place where you can go to smell the roses? Look no further! Morris Arboretum is that rare place where one can find sanctuary, peace and beauty. Whether you are walking on the grounds, sitting by the pond with the Swans or wandering through the multitudes of roses in the massive gardens, Morris Arboretum does not disappoint!
Pack a lunch, grab a blanket and your guitar or book and head out for a day in the park!
Easily accessible from Germantown Pike, located "behind" Chestnut Hill College. Plenty of parking. Call for hours.

“Beautiful Arboretum situated in a great setting!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

The Morris Arboretum is a great spot for a peaceful and quiet experience. Great spot to relax, get in a great walk/exercise and enjoy the beauty of nature. And, it's close to the beautiful shops and restaurants of Chestnut Hill. A worthwhile spot to visit when in Philadelphia.
