“The place to stay when staying at Penn”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013

Of the two hotels within walking distance of Penn this is the better located and has nicer accomodations. It is also more expensive and rooms are sometimes difficult to find. Valet parking staff was great and kept my car in front when I told them I would be going in and out all day. Parking is expensive though so between the room and parking this place isn't cheap.

This ranks among my top business hotel stays ever! I chose it primarily for location, near the main campus of Drexel University, but it exceeded my expectations and I would choose it again based on its individual attributes rather than just location next time. The in-room iPad was very efficient and unique. What an easy way to order room service! Parking is expensive, so I opted to take SEPTA from the airport, and then the Trolley to 36th Street. The stop brought me just steps away from the hotel. I arrived after dark but still felt very safe in this neighborhood. Upon check-out, I needed to retrieve a bag from the bell desk and the bellman summoned a taxi first, and then brought out my suitcase once I was in the cab. This extra consideration saved me a few minutes and assured that I made my flight on time. I highly recommend the Inn at Penn.

Philadelphia is a great place for a weekend, and the Inn is a really good location, and a beautiful hotel. The reading room/library is just the kind of place you want to take a book or a laptop and a cup of coffee and sit for a while. The service is very friendly and accommodating. There were a few glitches, but the hotel quickly addressed them in a very professional manner. All in all, this is a very good choice at an excellent price point for seeing what Phily has to offer.

Pleasant, well appointed Hilton on the Penn campus. A bit out of town, so better if you are going to Penn or Drexel. Good breakfast and nice, quiet room. Recommended. By the way, the new Pod Sushi place next door is worthwhile.

What a fantastic hotel located in a great part of Philadelphia! I used to go to school in University City and I had no clue that this hotel was there. It is THE hotel to stay at, regardless of what hotel brand you align with (if any), if you are visiting University City or heck, Philly in general given the close proximity to public transportation. The property is fantastic and upscale without coming off as trying to be. I have no complaints!

Excellent "academic type of hotel" Great service and perfect location for UPENN and DREXEL UNIVERSITY families. Rooms are clean; bathrooms elegant; breakfast buffet is fresh and varied. Academic lounge with fireplace is inviting. Front desk personel are well dressed and professional without being distant or cold.

Fantastic hotel. There's an iPad in the room for guests. Clean room and tastefully decorated. The front desk person, Mohamed, was very friendly and it was a speedy check-in process. Downside is the $39 per night valet parking.
