“Great Service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013

Stayed here while attending a conference. It's right across the street from the Philadelphia Convention Center and within walking distance to the historical sites. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The rooms were clean and comfortable and not too noisy. The complimentary breakfast had eggs, sausage, home fries, and waffles as well as oatmeal and cereal. Highly recommend!

While the hotel is conveniently located to many things in downtown Philly the bulk of the staff experiences shows a lack of desire to be helpful or an understanding of the travelers needs. Any management level of staff is difficult or impossible to reach to address issues with.

I was traveling with friends & we all agree that your breakfast & extra amenities like free bottled water, free coffee, tea, & hot chocolate & free afternoon cookies were great- much more than we expected!!! Also the location of the hotel was perfect for catching buses to places of interest & for walking to historic locations. We definitely recommend your hotel to others & plan to stay there again when we're in Philly.

Overall the hotel was fine. It was clean, check-in was easy room looked like most Hamptons. Parking even to get your luggage out of the car was difficult. Location was just fair, for the price of the rooms I thought the location would be better. The breakfast was the worst I have ever had at a Hampton Inn. I know lots of people were there but the food was not very good. We stay at Hampton Inns most of the time so we are familiar with the food and routine. Not up to par for Hampton Inns.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review concerning your stay in Philly. I'm sorry the location didn't work for you. We consider our location to be good since we are next to the convention center and within 15 minutes of walking to the historic area or art museum's. I certainly apologize for the quality of the food. I will review the procedures with our food and beverage staff to make sure we are providing the highest level as possible.
Thanks for this feedback.

my heater/cooling system started to smoke which by the time they moved me to another room my clothes smelled like smoke. Breakfast buffet was horrible, eggs were dry and burnt, variety of food not good and mislabeled food. I was not welcomed or asked if I was hhonors member. Also it cost $100 to park down the street from the hotel $120 if the hotel parked your car; which made me feel unsafe walking down the street in the middle of the night so I could go to work.

After my bad experience at Residence Inn by Marriott I was so glad to have changed hotels and given a great service experience here. Check in was fast. Free wifi. Free bottle water.Cheaper self parking $25 and the lot was not far from hotel. Great location within walking distance to reading terminal and convention centre. The breakfast in the morning was great and included things such as waffles, eggs, cereal, bagels etc. Rooms were great, clean. The pool was nothing special but good for a dip. I would stay here again. Thanks Hamptons!

Husband and I have been doing a lot of traveling this year and we found that the more expensive the hotel is the less they accommodate their guest. We decided to book our stay at the Hampton Inn when we were going to Philadelphia and the service was awesome, the rooms were very nice and clean. They had more amenities for guest than any other hotel we have been to. Future trips we will definitely be looking for the nearest Hampton.
