“Great Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 days ago NEW

We stayed here for two nights and had a great time. The hotel is in a fantastic location - you can basically walk anywhere, the furthest is Penns landing which is about 25 minutes. Various shops, restaurants and bars are nearby as well. Rooms are spacious, comfy and quiet. Staff were extremely nice and helpful; we arrived at 9am after an early flight and our rooms were ready and we could check in straightaway. Nice coffee and tea in the rooms and map and some sightseeing tips when we arrived were lovely as well.

This property is a decent choice in Downtown Philadelphia. It's well located near Rittenhouse Sq (5 minute walk). Of course the beds are amazing, but the rooms are kind of tired and uninspired. The lobby is cool, and has a nice lounge and bar to offer. Would stay again, but more for convenience or value then experience.

Overall great experience at the Westin Philadelphia. The room and general amenities were very comfortable and appealing. I have only positive things to say about the staff and the level of service I received (last minute complimentary upgrade, speedy and convenient breakfast).

The Westin is in a great location for exploring Philly. Very close to great museums (PMA, Barnes Foundation, and--slightly off the beaten path--the Penn Museum) and delicious restaurants (Alma de Cuba, Zahav, Dandelion). If you are headed to Philadelphia for business or pleasure I definitely recommend the Westin!

The hotel is very good and the location is fantastic.
The room was quite elegant and all the stay has been perfect.
Anyway, the fact that the wi-fi is not free is a big disadvantage. Why pay quite a lot of money if the only thing you need is just reading your emails with your smartphone?

The physical property is attractive as one would expect of a Westin. However, the hotel, earns just 3 stars because of the lack of service.

Something we all must unite on is housekeeping making sure alarm clocks are not set. I was woken up at 5 am. Hotels focus on fancy sheets, yet they forget that what looks like a minor detail destroys why we stay in a hotel: a good night sleep.

In this case, i expressed my disappointment to the front desk and they understood the issue. I asked that the manager call me so I could, express my deep disappointment with this service lapse as well as others,(the bathroom reaked of a bad smell). Yet the manager never called me.

This is salt in a wound. As a platinum Starwood member I expected more.

With lots of good hotels in Philadelphia to choose from, I will choose a hotel where the manager appreciates my business,

Dear Mr. F,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on Tripadvisor.com. Please accept my humble apologies for any inconvenience you may have experienced,

After learning of you incident yesterday (12/15) at 8:15am, I promptly inspected the room (115) in question.

As we take cleanliness very seriously, the Executive Housekeeper and the the Room Attendant responsible for the room were in attendance.

Fortunately, we were unable to find any malicious odor sources in the room. As evident from our other TripAdvisor comments, we operate a clean, safe, and well maintained hotel.

As a follow up, I left you a voicemail on your cell p[hone at approx. 11:15am on 12/15. Of course, we can speak about this again in the future and it is my hope that this isolated incident will not deter you from staying with us in the future.

Perfect hotel in the best location. When we checked-in Paul was amazing and greeted us and made us feel like we were at home. He helped us find a great place to eat and where to go out, all in the time it took him to check us in. He was amazing and we will be back to see him again soon. Thank you Paul.

You should stay here if you want to talk the city. It is the best location and tons of stuff around the hotel to do and see.
